July & August 2008
On June 14 the club cruised together to the Shatley Springs Inn in North Carolina . We had 12 members at this years event.We arrived at the same time as the North Carolina Club.We had a home-style meal of fried chicken, ham , mashed potatoes ,biscuits,gravy, fried apples and so much more. We had all the tea and coffee we could hold .Just as we were being seated a rainstorm came up . We ate for about an hour and since the rain was still coming down we decided to not have our meeting and make our way home . We didn't get to visit as long with the North Carolina folks as we would have if it had not rained . We had a safe trip both ways . In September we plan to travel to Kannapolis for the North Carolina Regional Meet . We would like everyone that can go to come with us .If you need a registration form please let me know . Our last event was our club picnic , June 27 at the Williamson Road Cruise - Inn . We had a short meeting while we were there . Please join us for the club events and meetings whenever possible ! Bring your Falcon , your regular car or catch a ride with someone and come join the fellowship .

A message from our President : In May of this year at our election I was voted in as your President . I would like to thank everyone for your trust and support. I will do my best .Bruce Martin is our new Vice-President . He is very up date on club matters and he and his wife Brenda own a black 61 Falcon , I Am sure he will be helpful to everyone with their cars and any club problems that may arise. As in past two years Connie Crowder is our treasurer and does a great job for us . She and her husband Buck own a blue 63 futura. And a big thanks to secretary, Carol Loope for her work in the past two years and will continue in the future , She and her husband Roy have a Aqua blue 63 Conv. Marty Lovelace will be our Web Master and will keep our web site up to date www.starcityfalcons.com check it out . He also owner of two 63 Conv. As for the club I would like to see more membership support at the club meetings and events . It is not a competition it is about the fellowship . If it rains or snows jump in another car and join us. There are only five more club events this year , so please try to make each one.
